About this site

Big Walk Field Guide is an independent, unofficial, fan-made Big Walk guide. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by House House or Panic.

What the site does not run

The site currently has no user accounts, payments, or advertising. We do not use Google Ads, remarketing, advertising personalization, Google Signals, or a user ID feature.

Analytics stays off until you accept

Google Analytics is enabled only after you choose Accept analytics. Before that choice, and after a rejection, the site does not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics pings. Every guide remains available without analytics.

What consented analytics helps us understand

If you accept, analytics helps us understand page visits, broad device categories, referral sources, and how individual field notes perform. This information helps prioritize useful content and identify technical problems.

Your choice and this browser

Your analytics choice is saved in this browser using a small, versioned first-party localStorage entry. It contains only the consent version and your accepted or rejected choice; it does not store your identity or browsing history.

You can reject analytics, reopen Analytics settings from the footer, change your choice, or withdraw your consent at any time. After withdrawal, future analytics collection stops and a page refresh does not reload the tag.

Google Analytics is a third-party service

When accepted, Google Analytics processes analytics data as a third-party service. Advertising-related consent remains denied. Read the Google Privacy Policy for Google’s explanation of its data practices.
